
The "Community Influenza Prevention Consultation Stations" event, jointly organized by the Health Bureau and various social organizations, medical institutions, and healthcare groups, set up 15 consultation stations across Macau's livelihood zones over two consecutive days (January 18 and 19), making it convenient for residents to participate nearby. The event concluded successfully today (19th) at 5 p.m. Over two days, nearly 15,000 residents received flu prevention awareness campaigns and reminders to get vaccinated. Medical staff at the health consultation center answered medical and health-related questions to over 1,200 residents, creating a positive and interactive atmosphere.
The 15 "Community Influenza Prevention Consultation Stations" are jointly organized by the Health Bureau, the Macau Federation of Trade Unions, the Macau Neighbourhood Association, the Macau Women's Federation, the Macau Returned Overseas Chinese Association, the Macau Chinese New Youth Association, Peking Union Medical College Hospital Macau Medical Center, Kiang Wu Hospital, USTC Hospital, Macau Medical Community Federation, Macau Medical Volunteers Association, and Jinan Heng'ai Medical Volunteer Association. Through community engagement, they promote health awareness for influenza prevention among residents, with interactive quizzes and small gift distribution. Medical staff on site also provided health consultation services.
The Health Bureau stated that this campaign was highly effective and effectively raised residents' awareness of flu prevention. In the future, we will continue to maintain close cooperation with various associations, medical institutions, and healthcare groups, further strengthening awareness of disease prevention and healthy lifestyles among residents through a variety of community activities and diverse promotional channels, jointly safeguarding residents' health.
